We will be providing a full refund to those who have paid for the tour and expect this process to be complete within the next 30 days.

Moving forward, we are planning more virtual events for the coming weeks. Please check the Chapter’s website and any incoming emails for additional information on future programs as it becomes available: http://www.smpstriangle.org.

Thank you for your understanding and staying engaged with the Chapter as we navigate through these challenging times. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected]

Join SMPS Research Triangle for a tour of the new Fitts-Woolard Hall on NC State University’s Centennial Campus! Thanks to Clark Nexsen and Skanska, attendees will get a sneak peek of the new engineering building scheduled to open later this year.

This state-of-the-art facility promotes interaction and collaboration between students, faculty, and individual engineering departments. The design is driven by a commitment to “engineering on display.” Throughout the four-story facility, high degrees of transparency create a light-filled, vibrant education environment. Each teaching and research space supports initiatives critical to the global high-tech economy, including advanced manufacturing, bioengineering, ergonomics, robotics and sensor technology, transportation and logistics, and environmental.

Located adjacent to Engineering Buildings I, II, and III on NC State’s Centennial campus, Fitts Woolard Hall is the culmination of the College of Engineering’s move to the Oval on Centennial Campus. It promotes the mission of the Centennial Campus to blend the integration of education, research, industry, government, and community spaces.
